Blogging is more than a hobby—
it is a personal investment.

I was grieved today at the thought of how it has been over a week since my last post. While I’ve been doing a lot of writing for another project, the church, and school, I missed this place. Blogging has become more than a just a way to capture random thoughts; writing a post is one of the greatest tools for my personal growth.

Writing takes what is intangible and puts it in black and white

When I take the time to capture on paper what I’ve been learning, thinking or experiencing, I am allowing surface level learning to create deeper levels of application. Writing something takes what was intangible and puts it in black and white – literally – for me to absorb further and be accountable for the future.

Blogging can be a way of flaunting in front of others what we desire to show off for our own gratification. Or it can be a way to capture our lessons learned for our own benefit – whether someone else reads it or not. So blog away. And if you don’t have a blog, then write. Capture now what needs to be further applied later. It is perhaps the greatest investment you can make in the life you’ve been entrusted.

Why do you blog or write?
